CANCELLED: “Shizzer” – WWII Airsoft Sat 30th Jan 2021
Sat, 30th January£25
The goalposts have changed once again, and we now find ourselves in a position where all our sites will be in tier 4 areas from Boxing Day. We’ve pored over the rules and put a lot of painstaking thought into whether we can operate or not, and although we are confident that we can run safely and within the law, we don’t believe that it would be responsible for us to do so with the current high rates of infection circulating.
As we can’t be certain at this point what the situation will be in the new year, we have also taken the decision to cancel the WWII game planned for 30th January.
We have had to make a decision based on very little information from the Government and with great conflict between what’s best for the business, our customers, our staff, ourselves and our families, as well as the UK community at large.
The tier 4 rules do not appear to specifically prohibit us from operating, but one of our core values from day one has always been “spirit of the rules” rather than trying to find loopholes to get around the “letter of the rules”.
It has pained us to make the decision to cancel this date, but we cannot currently be sure that the event will be able to go ahead as planned, and if things continue in the same pattern as we have seen so far, we could well have to pull the plug on it with less than a day’s notice.
We will be looking at organising another one as soon as we are reasonably sure that we can plan an epic day for you a ll without it being ruined last minute.
During the previous two national lockdowns, many of you were supportive enough to allow us to move your cancelled game ticket to a future event once we exited the lockdowns rather than demanding a refund. We cannot fully express our gratitude for this – we are a small business, and our sole income is from activities which have now been forced to shut down three times this year.
We would be immensely grateful once again, if anyone who is able to, is willing to accept a credit towards a future event of your choice as soon as we are permitted to operate again. If you are able to do this, then you do not need to contact us until you see an event published in the new year to which you would like your deposit transferred. We are able to transfer deposits to any Gunman Airsoft, FilmSim or EyeLARP event of your choosing.
We appreciate that some of you may be unable or unwilling to accept this option, in which case please email us as soon as possible to request a refund in line with our terms & conditions and your legal right.
We will make every effort to honour any refund requests for cancelled events as soon as we are able, however we will be unable to do so immediately while we have no income. Anyone requesting a refund will get placed on a list, and we will work our way through the list as quickly as we are able.
Please bear with us during this difficult time – we remain committed to ensuring that none of our customers lose out financially because of government restrictions.
Josh and Doug will make every effort to be available to answer any questions you may have over the next few days, but if you could contact us via email unless it’s urgent, we would really appreciate the time with our families as we brace for another rough period ahead.
We hope that you are all able to enjoy the holiday period as best as you can. Please keep yourselves and others safe by sticking to the guidelines, and hopefully it won’t be too long before we see you all back out in the field.

10am of the morning of 5 December 1941
The Kalinin Front
A small hamlet some 20 miles North outsider of Solnechnogorsk
A number of Mixed German units have been using the Hamlet as a food station when is was discovered the small settlement housed an incredible bakery and dairy processing farm. The original occupants had fled, but not followed Uncle Stalin’s directive to burn as you withdraw. Both the diary farm and bakery were still functionable and both had resources. Possibly used as a main food supply by the red army the year before.
A number of soldiers had an upbringing or trade before signing up to the call of the fatherland and have been able to produce desperately needed food for the soldiers occupying the part of the city they control.
Our story follows the these units and the soldiers of the Red Army whose home this was less than a year ago. It is the morning of the assault. The outer pickets are about to get tested and the Red war machine has been rolled out.
The report has handed to the Ober-Lieutenant Herr Schmidt as he bit into his warm, freshly baked current bun, dripping with butter and his response is heard across the hamlet………’SHIZZER’!!!
Now the battle begins…
Hi all and welcome to another WW2 Iron Eagle WW2 Filmsim airsoft adventure. As with all Gunman Filmsim WW2 events, there is a theme that we play out with role play and a setting to make it feel like you’re in a movie. This will be no different. This new story line will be set in and around Moscow of a series of events. Each events missions will follow on from the last and no matter who won the battle historically, we look at these events as something that might of happened even though in the end the victors will be the victors.
Initial ticket sales will be limited to 20 a side and if it sells out, a further 5 tickets a side will be released.
This is a Saturday only game.
